The Memphis Police Department linked the man as Ezekiel Kelly.

Court records show that a leave for first- degree murder was issued Wednesday forMr. Kelly, though it wasn't clear what crime that was for.

The police delved at the scene of a reported carjacking during a series of blowups in Memphis on Wednesday.
